Xelha from Baten Kaitos and Chloe Sullivan from Smallville are sort of alike. 

They have short, blonde hair, witty, and charming.

They also sacrifice a lot for their friends and people around them and put everybody’s needs before their own.

This vid tribute convinced me.

Growing up, Xelha didn’t have much of a childhood. The legacy of the Ice Queens was inevitable to avoid, and the witches told Xelha that her sacrifice was crucial, and when her mother died, she went from crown princess to Queen. Out of all of her friends once she ventured out of Wazn, she must have had to sacrifice the most.

Chloe had feelings for Clark, though she didn’t want to ruin their friendship because he had feelings for Lana. To keep everything inside, she pretended that being friends was alright, and put on a brave face throughout high school, something most girls aren’t strong enough to do. It wasn’t just her love life. If someone was in distress, or Clark had to fight some extra terrestrial evil, she put whatever was on her mind aside, and get on the matter at hand and save the world. She’d outweigh her cousin, Lois Lane’ concerns and troubles over her own. Nobody saw how much pain she was in, even her late ex-husband Jimmy Olsen (her pinned up emotions must have lead to the events of the divorce), and Clark, her best friend since high school.

It was fortunate their love interest, Kalas and Oliver saw how far they were bent back because they kept so much inside of themselves, which gave them a bit of leeway to breathe.

In short, these two women are strong enough to make great sacrifices of their own personal happiness for the good of their worlds. Not only do they have that in common, they have short, blonde hair. :-D

Since I wrote something for the royal wedding in Baten Kaitos, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip’s anniversary’s coming up on the 20th, so to celebrate, a tribute fic where Xelha reflects on her reign and how Prince Kalas was always there for her when times where rough. :)
